I think this game could have benefited from some music.
Right now, it just feels a little empty.
Also, why is our protagonist (I'll call her Jane) faster when walking left and right as opposed to walking up and down? It's an interesting design choice that makes this game stand out since you need to be careful of your movements and prioritize going horizontal in the boss fight.
Jane looks cute. I like the pixel art used for her. I particularly like her eyes and ponytail. Though, the top pixels of her hair in her horizontal walking animations are cut off on one of the frames. Making her sprite a little bigger would fix this. In addition, the ponytail in the vertical walking animations doesn't bounce correctly.
I'm interested in this world. Who sent Jane here? Why is there a key in the trash? What's the deal with the three (five?) demons? What does Jane do after the game ends?
Overall, I'd rate this game an 8/10. It certainly has promise if you want to expand on it, but it is imperfect at this stage.
